To help you understand KOOLTRAK software we provide this evaluation version for download. It contains a sample database showing the results of monitoring a number of typical locations in a mythical corporation we call "Consolidated World Foods". This evaluation version works identically to the full version, except that the "read logger" functions do not operate because they need a logger interface.

There is a comprehensive Help file included in the program, and this should help you operate it.

The installation file is a self-extracting zip file named KT137CWFD.EXE and is approximately 7Mb long. The program requires Windows 98, NT4, W2000 or XP, and 10Mb of free disk space.

There are three phases to the installation of Kooltrak from a downloaded zip file.

The first phase is to download the self-extracting zip file KT137CWFD.exe from the Kooltrak website into a directory on your computer. To start the download all you have to do is click on the box below labelled DOWNLOAD NOW.

The second phase is to find the file just loaded and run it, by double-clicking it. This phase uses a temporary directory on the system disk and unpacks the three individual files (named setup.exe, setup.lst and kooltrak.cab) used in the setup operation. When you do this and the program asks you for a directory to use, you can accept the default offered.

The third and final phase is to find the file setup.exe that was just created, and run it by double-clicking it. The Kooltrak setup program will then install KOOLTRAK into the default directory C:\Program Files\Kooltrakdemo.

Please note that if you have previously installed the KOOLTRAK demonstration version you should un-install it before trying to install it again. This can be done from the Control Panel using the Add/Remove Programs option.
